READING an Academic book
- Read a paragraph, then make a note of the key words or concepts
- Limit your time in reading to no more than 60 minutes at a time, preferably 15-30 minutes
- Read when you are not tired, in a place with few distractions
- Identify what you want to get out of reading the book and then go to the tools dealing with that purpose
